CLOSURE OF SOME ROUTES FOR 2019 ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY CELEBRATION

The Nigerian Army has disclosed various location within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), bid for closure during the 2019 Armed Forces Remembrance day to avoid any form of preventable traffic bottleneck during the celebration next week.
This was made available to RegentAfrican Times by the Army’s Acting Director of Defence Information, Brigadier General John Agim in Abuja.
The Armed Forces Remembrance Day Celebration is held on 15 January
every year to honour the nation’s fallen heroes who paid the supreme price for peace and security in our beloved nation. As part of activities to ensure the smooth celebration of this year Armed Forces Remembrance Day Parade which will take place on Tuesday 15 January, 2019 at the National Arcade Abuja by 9am.
According to the release, the following routes will be blocked in the morning during the event:
- Court of Appeal junction
- Foreign Affairs junction
- Bayelsa House junction
- Benue House junction
- Phase 3 flyover
- Aso Drive by phase 3
- Mopol gate behind National Arcade
