MKO Abiola’s Doctor, Ore Falomo, Is Dead

A renowned physician, Dr Ore Falomo is dead. The personal physician to the late acclaimed winner of June 12, 1993, presidential election, Chief Mashood Kashimawo Abiola died on Saturday.
RegentAfrica Times gathered that the former Medical Director of Maryland Specialist Hospital, was said to have died in the early hours of Saturday after a brief illness.
Though no official statement has been issued on his death, some leaders of pan Yoruba group, Afenifere, have reacted to his death.
Chief Ayo Adebanjo described him as a progressive, nationalist, patriot and successful medical practitioner.
Adebanjo said Falomo fought for democratic ideals and was loyal to the struggle.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari has sent condolences to the family of Dr Ore Falomo, who, according to him, served humanity for many years, working for citizens, eminent Nigerians and medical institutions.
According to a statement issued by Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity) in Abuja on Saturday, the president commiserated with friends and professional associates of the doctor.
